3 things to do in qingdao

Quindao (or Tsingtao, if you’re a beer-lover) is a major Chinese city on the coast of the Yellow Sea. Thinking about a visit? We’ve got three suggestions for what to do while you’re there!

1. VISIT AN AMUSEMENT PARK

Enjoy the attractions of one of Qingdao’s popular tourist spots. Take your pick! Maybe you’d like to check out the Fantawild, or stay indoors at the Baolong Amusement Park. There’s even a place called the Polar Dinosaur Amusement Park, if you can imagine such a thing. Look how much fun you can have!

2. MT. LAOSHAN

Mt. Laoshan is located by the seaside of East China Sea along the coastline, about 40 kilometers from downtown Qingdao. The entire mountain covers 446 square kilometers and has 218 places of interest, big and small. It is a famous Taoist mountain boasting both mountainous and coastal scenery. Mt. Laoshan is known for its oddly shaped rocks, ancient trees, and crystal-clear springs. The most famous springs are the Tianyi Spring on the mountaintop, the Shenshui (Immortal Water) Spring in the Taiqing Palace, and the Shengshuiyang (Ocean of Holy Water) Spring in the Shangqing Palace. People say the mineral water produced here can cure chronic diseases.

3. QINGDAO BEER MUSEUM

Based on the former factory of Tsingtao Beer Brewery, Qingdao Beer Museum takes the history of beer and the process of making it as the theme to tell visitors more about beer in Qingdao. The old German building and equipment are an important part of the company’s culture. Tourists can indulge in beer tastings, shopping and fun. It takes about one hour to tour the museum.
