time to visit your mom?
Increasing numbers of people are getting vaccinated. Travel is starting to resume. So how long has it been since you’ve hugged your family? Whether you’re planning a simple flight and hotel trip, or you’re looking to go big to make up for lost time, we can help take the hassle out of traveling.
Hop on a Plane
This isn’t terribly complicated — until it becomes terribly complicated. As travel resumes, flight schedules are changing all the time. One of our suppliers reported receiving more than 60,000 schedule changes from airlines in a single 24-hour period, and more than 14,000 of those had to be changed manually. At the same time, many rental car companies sold off swaths of their fleets during the pandemic, and pricing for rental cars (especially for one-way rentals) can be expensive. Even if it’s a simple no-brainer trip, you might do well to have a travel advisor in your corner.
Plan a Getaway
Maybe you’d like to do something special with your mom. Or your daughter. Or your sister. Or brother. If you’ve got a special connection with a family member, planning a getaway for just the two of you. After being cooped up at home and not seeing each other for a while, a long weekend at a resort could be just the ticket. Doesn’t have to be a jam-packed weekend, but just hanging out by the pool or on the beach and catching up with each other — doesn’t that sound nice?
A Big Multi-Generational Trip
Or, maybe this is the right time to go bigger and better than ever? Since you probably didn’t take a family vacation, perhaps this is the year to take the whole family on safari? Or sailing in the Greek Isles (which will be open as of this month to US travelers, by the way). Or to the Galápagos islands for an eco-adventure. A well-planned trip with grandparents, parents and kids is long overdue, don’t you think?
