Domäne Wachau is one of the largest wineries in Austria, as well as one of the most beautiful! All of their grapes are sourced from vineyards within the rich Wachau Valley, which explains why the wines are so delicious—among the best in all of Austria, we think. And the stunning views of the Danube are not-to-be-missed!

3. HIKE THE RUINS.

The hike to the ruins of Dürnstein Castle is a must: one, it's the highest elevation in town with the best views, and two, it's where Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned in 1192 during the third crusade (there's that history again).
