another travel week in the books

Every year, the world’s best hotels, resorts, tour operators, cruise lines and destination management companies converge on Las Vegas for an epic week of networking — Virtuoso Travel Week.

This week, yet again, Huckleberry Travel was there in full force, and what a week it was. We had “matched appointments” with supplier partners we’ve been working with, as well as requested appointments with suppliers in destinations where we may not yet have a “go to” for our clients. We strengthened some of our key partnerships and forged new relationships.

We were able to hear Dr. Sylvia Earle speak about the importance of protecting our oceans, from our partner Aurora Expeditions.

Sure, there were cocktail parties, lunches and dinners, but to be perfectly candid — those events were all about cementing our relationships with our supplier partners. Why? Because that’s what has value to our clients.

When we connect with a hotelier at Virtuoso Travel Week, we always thank them for taking care of you when we’ve booked you at that property. We tell them when we’ve booked your next stay, if you’ve got a booking with them on the horizon. And we make appointments to meet with them the next time we’re in town.

Globus Family of Brands announced exciting new small-group tours!

To that end, we’ll be having drinks at a Langham hotel later this week. We’ve got appointments to visit Almanac properties in Prague and Vienna when we’re there next month, and taking a day trip to Budapest to pay a call on our friends at the Ritz-Carlton. And when we’re in Japan in October, we’ll take a peak at the brand new Four Seasons in Osaka. And closer to home — the newly re-imagined Waldorf-Astoria in New York has offered to give us a hard hat tour of the renovation, so…we’re very excited about that!

Did you know that our portfolio includes exclusive shopping amenities? Next time you’re in Italy, London, or Paris, let us get you VIPed!

We go to these conferences because it’s an investment in our business, but also because it helps us do a better job for our clients. Our clients could book their hotel stays on their own, of course, but why would they go it alone when they can get the exclusive amenities and added value of our relationship, at the same publicly-available rates?

We’re leaning into the relationships with our key supplier partners. If you’d like to experience the benefits of the work we’re doing, let us know how we can help with your next trip — even if it’s a simple flight and hotel!

Want to take an incredible trip? Huckleberry Travel can put together the trip of a lifetime that includes tons of unique experiences you might otherwise miss.  Contact us for more information about our travel consultation services.
