national park foundation for earth day
Today is Earth Day! And it’s also National Park Week! It just seems to us that this is the perfect time to announce another HbT Gives Back initiative. So, here it is!
For every new trip to a United States National Park that is booked and under deposit through our agency between now and May 31, 2021, we’ll be making a donation to the National Park Foundation. The National Park Foundation is the charitable arm of the National Park Service, and they’re dedicated to preserving the history and conserving the beauty our National Parks, so that we can all enjoy these incredible national treasures.
Earth Day was first established in 1970 to bring greater attention to environmental issues and in the more than 50 years since, the holiday has become an opportunity to celebrate the air, land, and water that surround us and to renew our commitment to protecting the natural world. So, it’s perfect that our donations to the National Park Foundation (NPF) will help to preserve the built and natural environment within the national park system and in connecting people to the history and stories that they offer. The National Park System encompasses rivers, trails, seashores, monuments, battlefields, and so much more; all of which welcome visitors to discover their own adventures in places that belong to us all.
So, if you’re looking for a vacation close to home, we’d love to send you to one of our National Parks. And it’ll give us an opportunity to do some good when you book through us, since a portion of our Professional Services Retainer will go to the National Park Foundation!
