we choose our partners carefully

If you’ve booked travel with us before, you know that we can pretty much book anything — if you want to do it, we can make it happen for you. We’ve got a vast network of hotels and resorts, airlines, tour operators, cruise companies (ocean, river, expedition, you name it), and specialty suppliers. But within that network, we definitely have companies that we really trust to go above and beyond for our clients. And right now, Delta Airlines and Delta Vacations are at the very top of our list.

Want to visit a US National Park safely? We trust Delta Vacations to take care of you.

Safety and Hygiene

Delta is one of the only airlines that is still blocking middle seats, and they’ve committed to continuing to book at reduced capacity into the spring. Their major competitors stopped blocking middle seats months ago, (if they ever reduced capacity at all in the first place). We flew on Delta in December, when we took a quick socially-distant trip to Mexico to see how our resort partners were handling the new protocols. We felt very safe, having experienced their new safety measures first hand.

But what about on the Delta Vacations side? Yep. They’ve risen to the challenge there, too. We recently got word that Delta Vacations has removed all resorts from their inventory unless those resorts provide on-site testing for travelers who need a negative test in order to return home. Clearly, they take their partnerships as seriously as we do ours.

Pay with Miles? You bet.

We know that lots of people save up their miles to defray the cost of their vacation. Well, the good news is that now our road warrior clients don’t have to choose between using their Delta miles, or working with a trusted professional travel advisor — you can do both!

Delta is now allowing participants in the SkyMiles program to purchase Delta Gift Cards with miles. And, on top of that, Delta is now allowing travel advisors like Huckleberry Travel to accept those gift cards as a form of payment for any bookings that we make for you with Delta Vacations. So, maybe those miles will take you to a luxurious beach resort where you’ll spend them on spa treatments. Or to Europe, where your miles can purchase a private sightseeing excursion. Or even for a National Park Trip that’s closer to home.

Pay with a Delta gift card that you bought with your Delta miles? We can do that, now!

Save by Bundling.

Looking for a “deal” on airfare? Well, we’re here to tell you that there’s rarely such a thing. However…if you bundle that flight with a hotel stay, some sightseeing and maybe a rental car, you’d be surprised at the savings. We recently booked a round trip business-class ticket from LA to Paris, with four nights hotel, and comparing it to booking business class air alone — well, it was almost like the hotel nights were free! Of course, not every trip is going to price out like that, but the fact remains — bundling saves money. People who are used to booking their own travel assume that we cobble together trips they way they do. But we rarely go to one source for a hotel, and a different source for the other elements of a trip. You can only get those wholesale in-market rates if you bundle things together, and while you’ll never see the price of each element broken out — you’ll definitely notice the savings. That’s what Delta Vacations does for us.

Ready for your next trip? We’re here for you!
