inca trail permits available now
If you're thinking about hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu--even if you just want to do the one-day option--now's the time to reserve your space!
The Inca Trail is capacity controlled--and with good reason. For one thing, limiting the number of hikers helps preserve the trail. Parts of the trail right next to the abyss with very dense vegetation, and in some parts the trail is carved into the rock. But additionally, if you're camping (or glamping, even) on the trail, you don't want to feel like you're surrounded by other traveler--like you're in the middle of Times Square or something.
The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is considered one of the best trails for trekking in the entire world, and Machu Picchu is absolutely stunning.
