introducing virgin voyages

The biggest news in cruising right now is Richard Branson’s launch of Virgin Voyages, a state of the art cruise line that will start sailing next year from Miami. Virgin Voyages is really shaking up the industry with a style of cruising that really doesn’t exist anywhere else. And we’re pleased to announce that we are among the first travel advisors to be able to offer bookings on Virgin Voyages to our clients.

Just looking at the ship, you know that this is not the stereotypical classic cruise. The sleek modern exterior of the Scarlet Lady tells you right away that you’re not boarding any ordinary ship. And, once inside, the modern stylings of the cabins and suites will only confirm your initial impression.

Designed with a Sailor’s many moods in mind, Virgin’s cabins are revolutionizing ship design to create a personal retreat complete with modern aesthetics, yacht-like sensibilities and functional living space. The ultimate go-to for relaxation and rejuvenation, their cabins stand out for the flexible furnishings, upgraded bathrooms with Roomy Rainshowers and sensory mood lighting, creating comfy quarters that are way more than just a place to crash.

Booking a suite? Can you say exclusive access throughout the ship, personal RockStar style riders, upgraded marble clad bathrooms with premium amenities and spaces conceptualized by world renowned designer, Tom Dixon? Then call us, so that we can talk about these gorgeous suites.

The public areas—restaurants, lounges and spas are gorgeous as well. Just take a look.

So, what will it be like to sail on Virgin Voyages? Virgin is on a mission to create an “epic sea change.” They’re prioritizing caring about the communities they visit, and the environment, but without sacrificing any of the fun.

If you want to party like a rock star, you’re in luck, these are adults-only cruises. No kids allowed. The cruises are all-inclusive with food, basic beverages, fitness classes, gratuities and wi-fi included. And about that food? The ship features more than 20 eating venues with cuisine that will really inspire you—think “celebrity chef.” The ship has a phenomenal spa and wellness program, so that you can detox before you retox. And of course, the ship has the nightclubs and entertainment on board that you’d expect to find from Virgin. There’s a pool deck with the glam of a contemporary luxury yacht, so you won’t be bored while you’re on board.

And what about the itineraries? Virgin’s first ship has a variety of itineraries in the Caribbean and Mexico, including Cuba! If you’ve looked at cruises to Cuba in the past, you’re probably aware that most contemporary cruise lines need to send their older, smaller ships to Havana, because the port can’t accommodate today’s megaships. if you want to see Cuba while staying on a sleek, modern ship—like a floating boutique hotel—this is the cruise for you. And, since Virgin offers an overnight stay in Havana, you can enjoy mojitos, cigars and dancing well into the night—making this more than just a beachy port stop.

Virgin’s also launching with their own private beach club in the Bahamas. This secluded private port-of-call can allow you to explore the rich biodiversity of the area, to go boating, snorkeling or diving, or to just lounge on the beach and luxuriate in the sun and sand.

We’re super excited to be among the first travel advisors that are able to offer these itineraries to our clients. If you want more information on how to be part of the first wave of Virgin Voyagers, you should drop us a line. Let’s do this!
